ABC Life Groups are a place to build biblical community with a small group of Christ-followers who live near you.

With courage and time together these friendships can get beneath-the-surface and allow us to enjoy and display Jesus Christ together to our neighbors.

Why Life Groups?

The church isn’t the building, it’s the people. Sunday mornings are vital to being the church gathered in worship, but our Life Group Ministry is the primary ministry structure of ABC to  be the church scattered to live-out our mission together.

Let’s face it…none of us really wants a certain church program. We want and need a place to belong and grow with a smaller community of friends who share life in Christ together.

Where/When do Life Groups meet?

Life Groups meet in homes at least twice a month. They are intentionally neighborhood-named and focused, because we believe the Lord has strategically located each of us in order to transform stranger-hoods into neighborhoods as we live-out His life-changing truth with one another.

Instead of inviting neighbors to “come to church” (meaning a building), we want to send the church (the people) to be the church in their neighborhoods. To get involved in a Life Group in a  neighborhood near you, email our Life Group & Connections Pastor - Jim Allen  ( jallen@allenbible.org )

What typically happens at Life Group meetings?

Life Groups are not just another Bible Study where a talking head instructs a group of note-takers. Typically there is biblical discussion centered around Sunday morning messages or another topic to invigorate our spiritual growth.

Our Life Group gatherings are usually about 2 hours long. The first hour is spent eating and  socializing and sometimes worship with the kids. During the second hour the kids are dismissed and the adults spend their time in discussion and prayer.

What do I do with my kids during Life Group meetings?

Bring them! We love for our children to participate and know they belong to a Life Group. Each group handles how they will care for the kids when the adults have their time together.
